Nice work dude - I just couldn't get Blender to click. I was hoping to spend some of lockdown learning Zbrush, but I've been busier than ever! (Which I should be thankful for). Hope you're staying safe pal.

Cheers, and thanks for the WOWs! If i'll make more models (i'm already making some) i'll probably open a different thread for the fantasy stuff... :D

You too Jag!
Blender is really powerful, and while not the best for anything is good enough for a lot of stuff, and has EVERYTHING available. Also, free.
For this kind of project i basically made a simple human shape, with the sculpt tool i shaped it, and then i added some hard surface elements (which i'd rather do in Sketchup, but for 6mm these are simple enough to be made in Blender.
Posing, however, is a true pleasure, once you get a few silly rules to follow! :)

Ok, just one more picture, i'll then post the full medieval project on another thread.

Cheers,
Jack

Well, after the fantasy diversion (we have a store on mmf, do check it out! https://www.myminifactory.com/users/TheLazyForger )

I am back experimenting with 6mm modern-scifi.

with ZOMBIES!

Not any zombie, a horde of them. I've joined 20-something of them in a single piece, which will be printed as almost-self-supported, since most of the zs limbs will be touching another fellow undead.

Printing them as we speak, we'll see about the outcome!

Cheers,
Jack

Absolutely fabulous..... all of it!

The figures are great and I particularly like the ruins, perfect for my 6mm fantasy project. No 3D printer though, boooooo.

Thank you man!

For 6mm a resin printer is particularly useful, yes! Are you sure you don't have any fellow modeler nearby for that?

Some zombies printed!

Meant as a single piece, all the limbs are connected so that the amount of supports is reduced to a minimum.

Here a scale comparison!

Jack

Splendid Idea, reducing the amount of supports by a lot... and less cleaning up also.

I still gotta try printing them. For zombies it will likely be fine, but with more detailed kinds of troops it is not feasible, probably!

But for horde armies it is a great idea.
Imagine hordes of nids , like ripper swarms.
It reminds of some of the Warmaster minis which were moulded as a one piece strip.

Weeelll... the fantasy range took a toll, and drawing commissions and all required some more of my time:

- The fantasy models got painted, and published on a MyMiniFactory store (https://www.myminifactory.com/users/TheLazyForger)

- Some 28mm fantasy models appeared (also on the MMF store)

Aaand yet, i managed to re-do the supports for the walkers (at least, i begun that) and I printed the shanties!

Aaand... that's all for now, but i'm planning to work a lot more on this in the near future!

Cheers,
Jack
