Many thanks gents 🙏

For the record, I am definitely a “Hollywood Historian”, so as long as the period looks right to most people who have seen it in a movie, that’s as much actual history as I require in a wargame 😎

Re: "Hollywood Historians", fun bit (maybe shared here on LAF before?):

Historian on Titanic movie, after the first one got fired, shared at a local in person event not long after movie's release that in discussions with James Cameron, director, it became clear that when it was a battle between art and history, art wins.  Historian was a 'local' writer who wrote a book about the ship.

So you are in very good company - unless you don't think James Cameron is good company (which maybe his ex-wife might agree but hell if I know!  :o).

Please don't take my comment as any kind of criticism, it's nice to see the Ngoni get a win for a change.  :)

Will British firepower be enough?

Looks like the train goes all the way to Japan!

Great stuff! :)

Fantastic thread right through, thank you so much for sharing. Like yourself M'lud Hollywood style is how my games are based and I find it a lot more fun. Just a pity that sometimes your favourites on the table don't match up to their screen persona, Damn those dice!
Keep up the great work and inspiration

History, Hollywood, whatever.  It looks great and sounds fun!

Did perchance the British commander say, at the outset, "Bugger! Look at all those f***ing Ngoni?"  :o
