What to do....
Double up?

I couldn’t resist as they’re very WFRP and a good modern take on the old C46 townsfolk. For those without an existing stockpile, I reckon it would be cheaper to buy Dunkeldorf figures than old C46s.

Are they really too big?  The comparison shot shows that they're about a head taller than the GW figs, so about 8-10" taller in scale.  I'm pretty average height and have plenty of friends who fall within that range either taller or smaller.  Real people tend to be way more variable in size than minis ranges are.

The mugs are more noticeably different, but maybe GW's barkeep is just a stingy SOB.  Could even do a scenario around two competing taverns feuding over prices and cheating by offering smaller servings...

Yeah getting these to create a solo tavern/small city game using wfrp. I might keep a fewer of the bigger citadel minis to go with them ans use flat bases

Neither can most of the miniatures industry, or the people who buy from them.  When's the last time you saw a Napoleonic range where the Grenadiers really were noticeably taller than the average troopers, or a WW2 range where the Japanese figs were 3.5" shorter in scale than the GI models?  :)

Personally I've come to really embrace small scale differences within my units and armies. The thing is it only really works when you have a real mix. Two heights after all also looks a bit strange. It's better to have a bit of a spread.

Agreed.  As long as the sizes aren't too different a mix of multiple ranges works better.  It's only when things like weapons or other items of gear start diverging to much in apparent scale that it breaks down a bit.  Once you hit the industrial era it gets hard to accept too much variation in mass-produced firearms and that sort of thing.  Thankfully people remain as varied as ever.  :)
