Some more troops/tanks finished some months back that I forgot to take photos of! These are GZG Wheeled High Mobility vehicles and NAC troopers. Using them to represent The Commonwealth, a collection of frontier world's and other independent systems who have banded together to keep the other stronger factions at bay. As a result they aren't particularly advanced technologically but far more innovative!

Also a couple of Aliens for a not Tattooine project!

Indeed.  Looking the part.  I wonder when that many vehicles are warranted?

I think a Flames of War style company plus style of game could work extremely well and be good fun.

Very nice.  Always liked the older GZG wheeler designs.  Don't see why you couldn't use all of those in a reasonably sized game - the trucks and APCs aren't all that durable even in Stargrunt rules and the two Paladin AFVs aren't exactly the heaviest MBT design in the universe.

Thanks guys!

I will have to check Stargrunt out but what Dr Viking mentions is the target for this sort of build up. I like having complete platoons and units that compliment each other (artillery, air support, recon, special forces etc).

It does mean having to carefully think what sort of force you want and how they'd act on the battlefield. There is enough 15mm manufacturers out there that you could build almost any type of force you wanted each with their own niche.

Indeed.  Looking the part.  I wonder when that many vehicles are warranted?

If you think that's too many...

Been awhile since I posted on my thread but here are a few more pics of some stuff I've completed in the last few months!! Starting with some infantry and a robot for my "Peacekeeper" faction.

Those are really sweet, GZG Brazilians for Tomorrow's War?

Yes they are! One of the more unique infantry designs on the market! The Robot is from Micropanzer (although Rebel minis now have them).

On the subject of robots, here is another one from Clear Horizon:

Hopefully in coming months, when Jon gets the chance, the will be some new wheels and axles for the Paladin and Phalanx, plus new mini-turrets for Phalanx.

Really? That'd be quite cool, I have to admit that my Commonwealth faction feels like its a lot less 'equipped' than some of my other factions primarily because the Hi-Mobility Range feels a tad limited. Now I think this suits a collective that sits on the frontier, but some variation with the Hi-Mobility kits might balance things out a bit!

Awesome!!! How have I missed this thread before now?

How do you like the Clear Horizon stuff? I visit the website longingly, but the pictures they have posted aren't super convincing to me for some reason. The renders look great, but I've been gun shy to buy anything.

Appreciated  :D, and I do like Clear Horizons bots (I currently have five of them), they do have Positive and Negative aspects.

Positive - They paint well and glue quickly and paint sticks to them well too and they are quite dynamic for their size. I also love the design as I don't think there is actually a dedicated 15mm set of bots like this out there (I know people use those 12mm bots from that Canadian company I have 100% forgotten the name of, but I think clear Horizons bots aren't so cartoony and make more sense design wise).

Negative - The Resin feels brittle and although I haven't had any breakages there is sufficient flash that if you don't identify the detail correctly you might slice a chunk of you didn't mean to. They can also be fiddly parts wise so take your time building them!
