I've been messing about with 3mm woodland bases recently and my latest blog post is a tutorial on making tiny woods for 3mm games, have a read here:
http://www.stormofsteelwargaming.com/2018/09/tiny-trees.html
I hope it's helpful for someone!

They are very effective. Any issues with warping as they dried?

Thank you, no, I think the Plasticard base is small enough to not warp.

When you see the tanks next to them they do look very effective. In the photo above they look very flat without anything to scale them.

Thanks Fred, when they are spread across the table, they will look better, I hope!

I’m sure they look much better in real life, I suspect with them being quite low in the photo and the way the camera tends to flatten things, it’s more the shot. When you look on the blog with the tanks suddenly they look like woods.

The Knights of Ni will be pleased, since you've created "shrubberies".
