I was lucky enough to be asked by Joe to playtest his new set of rules. Here are my first impressions... http://frostgravery.blogspot.com/2018/09/introducing-rangers-of-shadow-deep.html

Stay tuned for some batreps in the next few weeks!

Awesome, indeed. Is there an appointment for publishing?

looking good.
the Tolkien-influence is obvious enough, but somehow the basic description also brings the Shannara series to mind (which once you get past the original twee cover art, and the first, very oddly written, book, is pretty darn good imo). Doubt Joe agrees on that tho'!

Cheers guys - awesome indeed!
I don't know when it'll be published, but keep an eye on the Shadows of Ranger Deep Facebook page (as well as this esteemed forum) for any announcements.
I'm not aware of the Shannara books  ;D

that's what they all say  :D ... and the first book being so bizarrely poor in more respects than one, it's not surprising!

Here's my my first batrep (posted with Joe's blessing). Our hero and his companions investigate a mysterious, deserted village...

Hoping for publication in a couple of weeks. Just working on layouts now.  There is definitely a Tolkien influence. I haven't actually read any of the Shannara books - though I am aware of them. So, no direct influence, but fantasy is a pretty interbred genre, so I could have picked up some secondary influence.

Another 'RoSD' game to whet your appetite. In the concluding scenario to the first mission: The Missing, our hero must cleanse the realm of the Infected Trees...

Two excellent reports and sound a lot of fun.

I'm quite enjoying solo and cooperative games with Sellswords and Spellslingers, so now I need to have a look at this when it's published!

Thanks! I haven't played co-op yet (being sworn to secrecy I've been hoarding the game all to myself - bwahahahaha!)
