Really like the contrast/compliment between the Red flag and the green uniform on the standard bearer.

Having not been on this board until recently, I have just discovered this thread and read it through from the start. I am immensely impressed with your painting on these 20mm figures. I shall continue to follow with interest, not least since I have just started a 10mm WW2 late war German army and will use some of your work as inspiration.

Built using the two Caeser kits of the Demag to make the armoured version of the 10/4. Still needs a crew on the gun…

The German MG08 saw plenty of service during WW2, from 1939 to the wars end. A variety of units can be seen using the weapon, and in Normandy many of the static divisions and bunker complexes utilised the MG08 to increase firepower along with many other exotic weapons.

This model has been done with a generic Heer crew by AB Figures and the gun from CP Models. Its based up with a summer theme for use in Normandy, as at least one was captured around Carentan in the first few days of the fighting and many were issued to divisions like the 716. Infanterie Division and to the Ost Truppen battalions serving in the West.
