The shading/layering of colours is quite impressive and I really like the transitions. Will you add scratches and some weathering to them or paint the details and use them like that? Either case, looking forward to seeing whatever you go with!

I believe it's the Zvezda 37mm (which was, as I understand it - more or less a Soviet copy of the Bofors?) in 1/72nd slotted into the new Zvezda Gaz trucks.

Yes... Zvezda 37mm AA gun.

Which if course should not be mounted on a Gaz-AAA as it wasn't rated for that load.

Generally the Gaz had the 25mm AA gun, which looks similar. The 37mm was mounted on the Zis-6 that looks similar... just heftier!

However... and there is always a however with WW2.

In 1941 the Red Army did trial mounting several 37mm on GAZ trucks. The attempts on the single axle version show exactly what a bad idea it was...

Also its known that local unit factory workshops also tried it and a pic exists of one on a double axle Gaz-AAA.

Whether or not they would have lasted long with the weight and force of recoil, probably mattered little at the time. So its an almost unlikely combo... but maybe not. Plus I have it magnetised so can pop it on the ground mount and swop it for a quad Maxim AA gun.

Anyway... stuck decals on them all. Got to love the Soviet lack of markings!
