I think I have managed to divert Flatpack from (eventually) doing Italy,
in favour of covering Sicily. My late father became a POW there when
his Infantry unit came up against the Herman Goring Division, which
had Tiger tanks that should have gone to North Africa before it fell.

I like those guys.  They look good.  And your color choices closely mirror mine, so I'm likely a bit biased... 8)

Completed the last 17 figures for the AB Figures US Infantry platoon, all done using a ‘dip’ method for speed…

The full platoon…

Wonderful. I still can't believe they are only 20mm.

What a stunning thread! Every picture was a work of art and I saved rather a lot of them. An excellent way to spend a Sunday evening. I have German and Russian in 28mm but the quality displayed here proves that 20mm probably makes more sense. I have a few 20mm figures laying around and may well paint them now. It seems for me that 28 are only more useful because I find scratch building houses a lot easier in the larger scale.
I look forward to reading more, thank you for sharing.

More US troops using my speedy dip method...

This time a Forward Headquarters, Forward Artillery Observer, MMG team, Bazooka Team and a sniper.

With the platoon already completed, this gives me a nice playable force while I move on the remaining figures.

Some more ‘dipped’ US Army support weapons – .50cal HMG Team and an 81mm Mortar Team.
