Toyotomi Hideyo and his hatamoto

There is a mix of Steel Fist and Perry used in this diorama.

A recent game with Rob Broom, author of War and Conquest (these are my preferred rules for Samurai games)

a brilliant setup you have there, inspiring to say the least, i like your cavalry bases using infantry to give it a more dynamic feel

Great set up, nice to see a large 28mm battle, so many skirmish games these days.

Lovely project.

What is it about War & Conquest that appeals to you versus other rulesets?

Its a quick and easy set of rules, so newcomers can pick up the mechanics without problem. It doesn't matter how you base your miniatures, the rules will work even if both sides are based differently.

Rob Broom has recently up-dated the Samurai army lists and keeps on hinting at a dedicated supplement (I keep waiting Broom).

War and Conquest is a fabulous set of rules, so it was just a shame it hit the market at the same time as many other rules that were attempting to fill the void of WAB.

Thanks for your views.

I bought a copy a long time back but got distracted by other rules and WAB 1.5. I'll give it another look, I recall it was an attempt to evolve WAB.
