Robotech :Assault on Macross Island - 2nd wave attack

Fantastic!  I've been trying to get my 6 year old to watch Robotech with me.  He is strangely uninterested.  I won't give up, though!

I only watched Robotech after I picked up the game (ie this year [it was on too early on Saturday mornings when I was a kid and I liked sleeping in]).

I was surprised how much I liked it. The first 2 dozen episodes had a coherent storyline and a watertight plot (for a sci-fi). The tail end of the first series and the other 2 series that were re-edited to pretend they were the same story were less enjoyable/watchable.

In HG Wells War of the Worlds, the invading aliens were defeated by Earth's bacteria. In Robotech the invading aliens were defeated with J-Pop and Soft Porn

Game 2: The Zentraedi send in a 2nd wave* of troops to take out the UEDF fuel depot and air defence missile points.       *Unlike Palladium Books




Following a wave of Gnerl fighters that softened up the defender, a Queadluun-Rau swoops in to take out the missile defence system (and several Destroids)



The Area Denial Destroid squadron offloads almost its entire arsenal, but achieves its objective in holding back two attack squads of Regult Battlepods from crossing Main St.



However they could not stop the Queadluun-Rau from slipping past and destroying the fuel depot objective. The Zentraedi had won, but at high cost, with only a single Regult managing to limp back to the recovery ship.
