Why, oh, why does Hirstart have to be so expensive???  :'(
So many nice things I could do with them.

But not too bad if you are in a club and can share the price of moulds, but they are well worth it. There are only a few of the Egyptian ones though.

Thank you all for your kind critiques !

Yes, all buildings - except the 3 small Mastabas, which are made from polystyrene - are made from Hirst Arts Stones.

The GW skeletons slumbered for several years in a box and were recently "excavated" by accident...looking back it was hell of a luck they did not attack ME !! ;) But indeed, they were one of the better GW Minis.

And for future projects it is good to know, that there is an authority for excavations in our rank...so I must double my strenght on accuracy. And by the way Mad Carew: I think the next survey will lead my little adventurers to a deep dark jungle and I got that certain feeling they will meet some "bone-boy" ...and again these guys won´t lie asleep in their graves  ;)

WOW :-* :-*
Missed this one before.
Lovely stuff. The scenery is outstanding. Some great detail. :o
How long did it take you to make the Hirst arts stuff?
How easy is it to make stuff from the moulds?
I have some linka moulds but they are a pain in the neck. You end up spending ages moulding stuff for it all to break when you are getting it out the mould. Good for ruins but not much else.

@operator5

We restricted the available attributes down to 5, made a general movement of 5/10" and limited the rules for ranged and closed combat. It was littl easier to play for beginners, but I think it would take away much of the fun for experienced players

@ Gamer mac

The casting is time-consuming. If you like to build a greater scene it would be needful to make your on mold with pre-assembled walls etc.
As I casted the overall of the stuff casually over nearly 2 years it was´nt that "painful" ;) but to cast the number of sphinx (you only got one per mold) took some hours.
One cast needs approximately 15 minutes.

The casted stuff fits well and needs rarely a finishing.
Since I use dental plaster the chance to get broken parts is nearly zero.
