Inspired by some bookcases made by a Twitter user called 'Jasmin MedievalMinis' I thought I'd have a go at mass producing some. Rather than make individual books, I found you could cut blocks of them out of 'blue' styrofoam (the dense stuff people use for stone walls).

The book cases are made with 2mm mounting card and coffee stirrers:
Making the rows of books from styrofoam (biro= ballpoint pen):
The scrolls are made from strips of paper soaked in tea.
The jars are made of beads, with greenstuff circles for 'lids.' Roll some greenstuff very thin onto a plastic bag, then use a paintbrush protector tube or similar to punch out circles.
