I was just wondering when I'd get another of these reports to read! Feels like it has been a while. Totally worth the wait though.
If you haven't mentioned it before, what is the source of your terrain?
Hey buddy, glad you enjoyed the issue! Thanks for the kind words!
I have a few different sources for my terrain. Primarily it is Dwarven Forge, the dwarvenite (as opposed to resin) from the first two kickstarters. That's the stone dungeon and cavern stuff. I painted rather than having the factory do it. It is pretty much only available from the company, and their stocking situation is hit or (more often) miss.
For the space station with the flayers in this issue, that is from the Dungeons and Lasers Kickstarter campaign, from Archon Studios, their standard sci fi set. They are getting ready for their third Kickstarter campaign in a few weeks, featuring fantasy village stuff. It looks like you can order their old dungeons with that, but not their sci fi.
The green stone area that is the fourth seal, with the two flayers talking, it was the "Path to El Dorado" kickstarter from Lunes D"Argent Workshop, a Canadian company. They do both Egyptian and this MesoAmerican stuff. The pieces are kinda fragile, but they easily glue back together. They are actually less green in real life, there is an interaction here between the UV lighting and the camera. They have a website that they sell their stuff on, it is pretty reasonable.
The buildings in the opening are from different manufacturers. Some Pegasus Hobbies stone huts, and some Conflix buildings, both pre-painted. I think those are all out of production, now. There are also a couple of buildings you can't see as well from Ender Toys, a print company with stuff on Amazon. Their stuff is kinda rough (print lines visible), but cheap.
I think that's everything in this issue, but I have used some other terrain in the previous issues. I used the Ender Toys dungeons, they're not horrible but not much cheaper than DF. The crypt stuff in Issue 9 is no longer available from Secret Weapon Miniatures, but the designer has the rights and will make them available again, though it has been over a year. Dark Arts miniatures.
Some of the outdoor stuff is old Heroscape, others are just green cloth.
Did I miss anything? Let me know!
