Uber Kewl :)

It’s really taking shape and you’ve painted another ten figures? I managed one mounted Knight today and he’s not even finished. lol

And I updated the rules for bigger battles 🙄
My LAF Gallery is HERE
Minis (foot & mounted) finished in 2024 = 32
(2023 = 151; 2022 = 204; 2021 = 123; 2020 = ???)

I did notice those but didn't like to say...  :D
Definitely would benefit from a second coat in places to texturise the lines in the underlying board structure...

You should have said. :D .... I’d have appreciated the thought. ;)

So, a very messy few hours later. The second layer of plaster has been applied, which is a flexible dry wall repair plaster that is easily carved, scraped and sanded.   (The first layer was exterior wood glue, a ‘hard coat’ finishing plaster straight onto the wet glue, then after the plaster had started to dry a brush of dilute exterior wood glue.)

The first layer was for strength/durability/hardness etc, the second is for looks.

Hopefully I’ll get this tidied up over the weekend.

Looking much better, but how many processes? :o

I'm assuming its going to receive a vigorous rubbing down?

I trust you are going to slather the whole thing in superglue to give it that perfect Silent Invader finish?  ;)

It’s very tempting but the heat might melt the foam in the foam board.  :D

What a fucking mess  lol

He’s a brave man, doing that indoors!

It looks utterly superb, it was looking interesting before the plaster went on but now it’s just transformed :-*

 :D thanks chaps

So, to borrow from Churchill, the castle build has reached the end of the beginning.

The structure is now done: henceforth it is ‘merely’ detailing and painting. Btw, the grey is simply emulsion paint mixed with dilute weatherproof PVA to seal the plaster and take the edge of the white foamboard.
