Suitable walkers/mechs for 10mm?
« on: January 15, 2019, 06:36:19 PM »
Greetings,

I wanted to ask you guys if anyone could shed light to possible miniatures to enhance the 10mm scale Weird Wars.

For now I only know of Dystopian Wars which is now stocked at Wayland games. Which provides Weird Warsy looking tanks, some mechs and artillery. And of course aircraft and ships.

So I'm looking from all scales from 6mm to 28mm. If anything could pass as 10mm something for Weird Wars.

My Weird War WW1 project - http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,18104.0.html

Thank you in Advance,
Noktu

Hi
Someone over on the Konflikt 47 Facebook group converted some Tau battle suits into 15mm mechs, which should work for 10mm too.

The models for the game Scythe are available to buy about $20 for 25 plastic mechs, they are around 10mm scale.

Ground Zero Games is always worth a look, a number of their 15mm mechs and suits would suit smaller sizes.

Eureka makes Armored VSF German infantry in 28mm.  A bit comic, but could be useful for walkers

If you are looking for a WWII look, you may be interested in Heavy Gear. Its 12mm, but they are short 6-8m tall mechs.

I was thinking of replacing the arms of a hunter or jaguar with cannons so they looked like the mechs from Ring of Red PS2 game

The North to me have that angled look of tigers and panthers... while the Jagers of the south have the rounded look of a sherman.

Noktu,

Are you still looking for 10mm walkers?

What flavour tech-wise are you looking at? e.g. clunky low tech big monsters, elegant high tech smaller mechs....

Let me know if you are may have some for sale that you are interested in that I don't use anymore.

Regards

Wolt

Why not use the Gear Krieg line instead?

Also, 15mm Clockwork Goblin is another choice if you can find them.
