Thanks everyone, glad you like the Unsullied...must admit I’m pleased with how they turned out...trouble is I think they will look even better with a lot more of them

 :D

One addition today - not anything I’ve painted, but something I wanted to share for completeness.

McFarlane have released the first of hopefully 3 dragons - Viserion - and IMHO its usable with 28mm figures....I’m sure some will suggest it should be considerably larger, but for me it’s representative, without completely taking over the tabletop.

It is posable, and comes with a flight stand plus the icey blast is removable ...you could probably even attach the Elladan Night King to it as a rider.

Pictured here on the tabletop next to a base of 28mm troops...I expect I will add some weight to the base to add some additional stability.

Drogon is scheduled for release in the UK in June.

Better start building some scorpions....

Oh wow! Definitely didn't expect this for an update!  :o

I'm surprised how well it scales too from a 28mm standpoint!

Managed to get another dozen Boltons finished this weekend.

Also rebased some archers (not painted by me, I’ve just added a touch of orange and then rebased them) - these are going to be the start of a force of House Hornwood.

...and then, as I’ve got some gaming mats now, i thought I’d take a couple of group shots of all of the Northerners together.

Still plenty to do...Hornwoods, and Mormont definitely on the list along with more cavalry, and some character/leaders

Agree, big enough to be representative for gaming purposes.

I feel like your northmen should fight my Southerners!... love the group shot. Great job. Where is the castle from or is it scratch built?

Thanks DG, I’m not sure what references there are in the books, but based on the TV series, the fully grown ones could well be 2-3 times as big, which would create all sort of problems, not least with the flight stand etc. As with so much of gaming, it’s a compromise

 :)

Thanks - I’ve got the funny feeling that they will be outnumbered when I get the Lannister forces on the table though.

Cheers mate...would be good to get a game in, the castle is from Hudson & Allen

If to show them as in this past season yes i agree small for 28mm only because you see them with riders.
If for earlier seasons, they work fine.
Would work fine for 15mm even better.
But i agree with you as a "representation" on the field though.

And Amazon has Drogon listed for a JUne release as well. Running about $25. Not a bad price.
