Effective conversion! I genuinely didn't know Zvezda made siege weapons!

I just wanted them as I think they look cool  :D
Is there another reason?

Seriously nice job on both the ballista and the chariots.  I had not checked your thread out for some time and I am still in awe of the amount of models that you manage to get through.

One thing that you may look into if you have not already is artificial sinew.  Green stuff and I have a troubled relationship so I tend to look for other options.  In this case I use the sinew when replicate smaller ropes for lashing poles together as it is easily cut to size, can be tied, will hold itself in place while gluing, will naturally mould around parts, is fibrous enough that you can see the strands once painted and takes superglue well to tack it in place.  It can also be separated into thinner threads so you can use it for things like your ballista ropes.
Here is a link for what I am talking about.

Again beautiful work throughout this project.

That is nice.

What scale is the original Zvezda?

That is nice.

What scale is the original Zvezda?
I think all medieval Zvezda boxes are 1/72.

Thanks everyone for your comments - Snitchy, I’ll have a look at the artificial sinew

 :)

What scale is the original Zvezda?
BZ is correct the Zvezda siege gear is all 1/72

Remind me what rules you like to use?

I’m writing a set of fastplay rules for large scale games. They worked well for a play test (pg43 has a battle report) with 250 figures, but I’m going to try some larger games with different troop types as I tweak them....originally I’d planned a game for last weekend, but got sidetracked by the rest of the project  lol

Made some more progress on the Ironborn ship (started back on pg 40).

Tried to give it a Kraken figurehead...

As it is based upon the same 1/72 Zvezda model as the Targaryen vessel, I wanted to make it look a little different, so here are some comparison shots.

As per the previous model, I’ve made the main sail removable for extra gameplay.

Nice progress! Definitely looking forward to seeing it painted!

Were you thinking of going for the full Greyjoy-gold for it?

Cheers. Still pondering the colour scheme, but a gold Kraken figurehead with a black outer hull might work given I've got to paint the main sail as well.
