EXCELLENT!! ... the few sea battles, played a huge roll in that world... CMON recently commented that they had a really hard time adapting the new Greyjoy starter box to "feel" like the iron born on land... the main designer for them said he wished there was a way to do sea battles with their system... You could possible use blood and plunder rules for your sea battles, they are pretty smooth rules.

Thanks everyone for your comments, greatly appreciated.

 :)

Took a couple of “group” shots with the Targaryen ship - hopefully don’t look too much like they came from the same plastic kit.

Thinking about adding some crew types to my todo list....between the campaign map, and finishing the Ironborn ship, I haven’t painted any figures in a couple of weeks.

They look great together mate. Similar enough tobe familiar but not looking like they came from the same kit.

Exactly, similar enough that they're recognisably from the same continent, but different enough that it gets across the cultural differences!

Insanely good. The games you're going to have with these...  :o

Mission accomplished then  :D

I will...I promise...I’m just stuck in “Build” mode right now  lol

Of course, the trouble with following my muse is that I don’t have any control over the direction it takes me.

So this week I was thinking about another ship, or possibly some more Dothraki, but ended up working on my Wildlings...arguably the force that is already the most complete.

First up, my interpretation of the King Beyond the Wall...I didn’t want him wearing the raven-winged helmet from the books, and equally, I didn’t want the clean shaven look of the TV series - I particularly liked the sullen stare and the facial hair on this head option.

I gave him the flask as it reminded me of his encounters with Jon Snow...perhaps he is about to offer a potential foe a “proper northern drink”...although to be fair he could equally draw his sword.

I also wanted to revisit the mammoths...adding a couple more towers & crew, plus giving each mammoth its own minder...they aren’t trained like a war elephant, so I figured that apart from a giant, they’d only be guided by someone with a long pointy stick.

Unfortunately one of the mammoths has been hit by a bolt, leaving its crew and handler in a dangerous position...

Next up? Your guess is as good as mine  lol

Awesome!
My son and I were thinking about to make mounted, moving fortresses for goblins, just this weekend. What kind of miniatures are these mammoths?

The mammoths are from DeeZee ... resin with metal tusks ... very reasonably priced.

Pachyderm pandemonium! Excellent work on those Matt.

Who'd be stick man trying to guide a mammoth though? Terrifying assignment lol
(But a very clever idea)

Amazing work!  :o Definitely doing Mance justice!

The backdrop on the photos is definitely a great choice as well, it's really effective!
