Re: AKULA’s Game of Thrones - pg55 Building Westeros Part 2

Had a bit of spare time during the week...

...fairly typical of my lack of planning...I started out thinking I’d make some Freys and ended up instead scratchbuilding a couple more Wildling chariots  lol

As mentioned previously (pg33) the books add a lot more flavour to the Free Folk including rickety chariots made of hide and bone, from the Frozen Shore, pulled by “white dogs as big as horses”.

Crew are Frostgrave, and the “dogs” are Vendel wolves.

And a couple of group shots with the original chariot

Haven’t written specific rules for the chariots yet, but they will be pretty rubbish in combat... I just wanted them as I think they look cool  :D

Nice chariots.

So is the map just a reduced scale prototype for your 28mm scale version?

lolThanks everyone, glad you like the chariots, they were fun to make.

 lol

Today, just a simple conversion of the Zvezda ballista to look a bit more Westerosi...the limb is made from a bit of spare sprue.

The metal bar is because it’s mounted on a turntable for use on a ship, or in a tower.

Comparison with the standard version.

Great conversion. It looks a lot more lethal in that configuration.
