Lost World "Natives"...
« on: May 31, 2009, 04:13:53 PM »
...Has anyone complied a list of suitable figures?

If "Yes" please post the link.  If "No" tell me here.

I already know of:

Copplestone Cavemen.
HLBS (as was) Cavemen and Homus Erectus.
Someone makes Pygmies (Who?)

So I'd like to know of any other suitable "Lost World" primitives.

Reapers have a few in their catalogue… they’re not cheap though…  :?
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

Depending on how realistic you want your pygmies to be, Kallistra make ones like this:

And Eureka make ones like this:

Black Cat Bases' Bebelli also work as Pygmies, but you may have to clip their pointy ears.

All good fun, but very cartoony. Any there that might help?

Excellent  :)  Thanks.

The Kallistra Pygmies were the ones I had seen.  But the others look great.

I hadn't realized there were so many possibilities... :)

See, you can never have too many small, stupid things.  :D

Old glory has some masked warriors

Yes they do, and they are shockingly bad. I got some last year and they have stayed unpainted because they depressed me so much. Even undercoating them was a chore. They look really nice on the website, but suffer from the typical OG unfinished look, not to mention the usual carefree attitude to lining up their moulds.

Best avoided if you ask me.  :(
