(Commercial) Wargame holidays - Battlefield tours - France

Herce Salon de Guerre

Wargame in our 18thc Herce Salon de Guerre, in our beautiful B&B and Baronial home l'Hotel de Herce in France.

Weekends and holiday packages are specially planned for both you and your partner to enjoy. Choose one of our 3 luxury guest rooms, book a historic guided tour or battlefield tour. Great shopping, brasseries, walking tours, for your partners. Or plan a BLITZ weekend of gaming Friday night to late Sunday for total immersion weekend away with friends.

Matt & Vanessa  Williamson moved from Australia in March this year to establish their dream business. We offer something different, rather than just offering tours or wargaming for men, we would like the men to bring their partners for a short stay in France, tour the region and its history, wargame and relax.

Vanessa is an archaeologist and has a masters in Medieval history. Matthew has a degree in Engineering/Survey and is a military Historian.

We have the opportunity to walk the battlefield in the morning, and fight it on the tabletop in the afternoon, battles from Caesar, fall of Rome, medieval, renaissance and ww2 within 40 minutes of the Maison. Play on a scenario specific wargames table in a 18th century salon with 28mm figures using simple and enjoyable rules.

Please visit the website and join our mailing list for exclusive offers and packages.

Sounds lovely. And only a short drive to the D-Day beaches, not to mention all the other places nearby. I just picked Caen to see - 1hr45min.

Thanks Grant,

Yes a short drive, we have plenty of action closer, Mortain for the counterattacks, the breakout and capture of the vital bridges across the Mayenne for the push by the French through Alençon, the closure if the gap at Mt Ormel and Falaise.

Cheers
Matt
