Progress on the skeletons, and some undead cavalry kitbashes from Fireforge I've always wanted to try.

Very nice! I really should build more than the one skeleton from my skellies box. Ah well....

this is the most recent thread I've found about Mierce:

https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/60/615473.page

not sure what to make of it tbh.

Anyhow, regardless of manufacturer, wonderful stuff in this thread.

Let's keep this to a thread about Knight-CaptainTyr's collection please. A separate thread on the Commercial or General Boaord would be more appropriate if there is customer information regarding Mierce (interesting link though).

That’s a great looking unit of skeletons, I love everything about it!

One question about the twigs/branches on them - if they’re made using lichen, how do you keep it from becoming brittle and breaking? I’ve never been able to get lichen to last.

In response to yourself and powerfrog: I actually have no idea. I hadn't thought that far ahead. Slightly worried the unit is going to look substantially different in a few months, now...

Pick them up exclusively by the bases, and chop the hands off of anyone else who so much as touches them! Issue solved!

Amazing unit, they look brilliant!

So...I've been remiss in updating this thread. I've had a long, long absence from painting anything (over a month, which is unusual for me) and am slowly getting back into it.

Oathmark is now quickly becoming my primary games system. I've had a few games with the Black Order (humans) and the Dark (undead) and the playstyles are distinct enough that it's a game I'll be happy to keep playing for a while.

I've found that the Undead are surprisingly expensive (well...if you go with the revenant options at least). I've put together a Light Catapult to serve in the Dark's arsenal. I'm 50/50 on this; it was a 'rescue project' on an MDF catapult, and some Wargames Atlantic bits, and while I think it'll do as a gaming piece it's not at the same standard as the rest of the force.

Without further ado, the Corpse-Rotted Onager:

Wow, nice work on the skeletons. The lichen looks good, but like the above concerned about its longevity.

They certainly look like they have pulled themselves out of unhallowed ground.

That catapult is excellent - nice details with the shields. Still hoping North Star will do a multi purpose plastic kit.

It looks pretty good to me...

If you want one to start with for another that's a bit better than the mdf kit ones, the WizKids unpainted line has a pretty good one that I've painted up two of for one of my forces.
