Beautiful - in a hideous way. And the skeleton army is superb. Best I’ve seen. Great work.

I think it matches the rest of the army without issues.

Huge praise. Thanks a mil.

You are too hard on yourself mate, that looks amazing!

Thanks fella! Much appreciated.

Wow, nice work on the skeletons. The lichen looks good, but like the above concerned about its longevity.

They certainly look like they have pulled themselves out of unhallowed ground.

That catapult is excellent - nice details with the shields. Still hoping North Star will do a multi purpose plastic kit.

Yeah, I'm being very careful with the lichen. Tried spraying it with glue, but that might just make it brittle. And yes, I'd love to see a North Star kit.

It looks fine to me!

Thanks fella!

It looks pretty good to me...

If you want one to start with for another that's a bit better than the mdf kit ones, the WizKids unpainted line has a pretty good one that I've painted up two of for one of my forces.

Yeah I've heard these recommended both on the FB and Discord pages - never really considered them but might look into them.

_______

My take on the Oathmark Revenant Champion. I wanted him to have a bit more heft, both in terms of his physical stature and the threat he projects on the battlefield. So, when in doubt, stick a bigger fur pelt on him and give him an axe upgrade:

" ... the seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days."

-Thrall Flavor Text, Myth: The Fallen Lords

That axe fits very well! I dont know, how "historically accurate" is it for the bronze age look, but I dont care. 😀

As I'm getting my Black Order into fighting shape for SAGA, I'm also picking up a lot of momentum for my Undead force. The Dark are getting their own (reskinned) SAGA battle board:

Finally, also working on some new models - somewhat inspired by the ax-wielding Thrall from Myth: The Fallen Lords:

Brilliant to see. You have brought the Thrall right out of the game! They were always my favourite enemies to fight in Myth - I liked the visceral combat when a line of those clashed with a line of human soldiers. Steel against steel! Can't wait to see more!

So, before Christmas I managed to get together with some friends for a three-player game of Saga. I thought I'd take the Undead out for their first spin! It wasn't all straightforward - bloody Masters of the Underearth and their Tenacity...

This thread continues to be an endless source of inspiration!  Where'd you source the replacement skulls for the Oathmark skellies?  I wasn't too keen on the knock-off Celtic helmets on those myself

Cheers! They're actually from the GW skulls kit. I love the Oathmark skeletons, but the skulls are where the kit didn't work for me - slightly too stylised and cartoony, like an animated film. Works for some themes but I wanted something a bit more grim and stark, so went with the GW set.

Finished off eight Undead warriors for Saga and Oathmark. These guys - I hope obviously - were heavily inspired by the endless Thrall faced by the forces of the Light in Myth: The Fallen Lords.
