I second the 25mm base topic. I may actually have a chance of making something in time! ;)

I like it to, eventhoigh it is definitely bot the eaziest way to excel. I suppose it is the terrainmakers equivalwnt to a haiku.

Now I like that .
Something that's more twenty times smaller than my last try.
I could be tempted to find the time for a 25mm base sized project.

I always thought the aim of these challenges/ comps was to get folk to build something they will actually use. I suspect that placing an arbitary restriction around the material like ‘matchbox’ or beer can will work against that.

If you make the restriction a 25mm base, the topic could be to make an objective/casualty marker?

You can practically hear the cogs spinning in fevered minds. lol
These musings are nearly as much fun to read as the build threads.

While I like the ’Small’ the I think it is more suitablw as a round theme for LPL. The BSC is about process of construction and there is not a whold lot of it which can take place on a 25mm washer.

It probably would be too complicated as there's a time factor, but wouldn't it be awesome if we all had to send some junk to someone else and you'd have to include that what you were sent in your build.

I like the idea as it would indeed be a challenge and would indeed put the participants to the test.

I think size, as in "small" is relative.
A row boat is small compared to a tanker, or food stall on a market place compared to a two story building.
Of course this way is harder to regulate the theme in the rules and would require some common sense from the participants, but I don't think that would be a problem here.  :)

Confining the build to a 25mm base has it's own challenges though and it would be an interesting competition as well.

Interesting idea but maybe just send a picture of the item that you need to use.

So people can try to source it themselves should save some postage.

Require a picture of the piece “in context” with other figures, terrain, etc. That should make it obvious if the project qualifies as “small”.

Besides, strict rules aren’t really necessary. This is about building stuff, not winning.

That's quite an easy solution hahaha could have thought of that :)

I know I am jumping into this discussion kind of late. But how about a barricade. No matter what period or type of game there is always a use for some kind of barricade.
