A movie selection on Netflix that deals with the Norwegian civil war between the Baglers and the Birkebeiners. The action takes place in 1204 and centers around the flight  of 2 year old Haakon Haakonsson and his safe passage to Trondheim. At 13 he would become King Haakon IV of Norway. I really knew nothing about this period of Norwegian history until this movie. If you fancy warriors on skis, this movie's for you!
