Star Wars RPG, Armada & Legion
« on: November 05, 2018, 05:04:41 PM »
A new project….

some time ago I read a review about FFGs Age of Rebellion beginner game. There they said that it's a nice but easy adventure, very linear like a dungeon crawler. So the idea was born to combine this RPG with tabletop games like Legion and Armada.

Soon there were an Armada core box, some cp models aliens I have bought years ago, a Legion core box, the Age of Rebellion beginner game and...

… a 3d Printer.

First step was to print a spaceship for the main characters. It took more than 70 hours for all major parts, some minors are still missing. Now there will be a lot of sanding and painting needed before this spaceship is ready.

That looks really cool already. 8)

Is it based on any canon or Legends ship, or is it an original design?
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

First thought it's the falcon, but the shape don't fits. Now i think it could be a B-Wing. But it's only guessing.

Edit: The engines are too big for a B-Wing.

Looks like a YT series freighter, though not a YT-1300 like the Falcon, looks good though

Yes, it's the corellian YT 1760 Smugglers Freighter offered here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2921730. Thingiverse is a dream for 3d-models, especially when used in combination with Microsoft's 3d builder, an easy to understand program to examine, repair and split a model in smaller parts for smaller 3d printers.

Its a good thing they found some weapons for this little cutie.
Out of the box it has no weapons and no shields.
Not a good thing for a smuggler to be short of.
