The basing colour is an old recipe of mine:

Base colour of Crafters Golden Brown
followed by
A dry brush of Americano  Desert Sand

Dependant on how heavy the dry brush, it will deliver either a nice dry earth effect or a desert look.

I think they look terrible in those photos, but I have a new camera now so I will redo the pics and post them again  :-[
