The miniatures look as expected: the usual high Renedra casting/molding quality, the usual good Fire Forge quality sculpts, but slightly bulkier due winter gear and the same semi crouch/fighting stance that most non-perry plastic minies tend to have.

The extra bulk does make them slightly less useful for kitbashing with Perrys and GB minies though. Frostgrave Barbarians might work better?

Thanks, not sure if the barbarians would fit as I don't have any in the collection but these miniatures are great to be used as they are, really cool!

Those padded bodies look ripe for conversions - how do the torsos compare with a GW Cadian one for example?

I jut completed my pledge manager the other day and this might get me upping from Early Bird (just in it for the Living Dead for Dragon Rampant) to Base Set for both sides...

GW Cadian bodies? Please tell us the kit-bashing you plan to do with this set. It sounds like an interesting combination.

Don't have any Cadian bodies but could imagine that the conversion might work due to the size of the miniatures.

The gambison uniforms might work for sci fi low tech borderworld militia types, or dockyard workers, bodyguards and things like that.
