Very useful pliers
« on: June 15, 2009, 09:54:32 AM »
Last saturday I bought this couple of pliers (plain and rounded points).
These are for jewelry, and the rounded points one is VERY useful for bending rings, etc.

I highly recommend these tools.

I have been looking for pliers like that for a while. They tend to be of poor quality or horrendously expensive and nothing in between.

Well, actually they costed 5 Euro each.
As for the quality, honestly I don't know...

Try a shop which sells electronic parts. My brother (who used to assemble circuit boards etc) used to have a rounded pair like that.

I bought one of each for around $5 Canadian a piece at Canadian Tire. Very useful. I also picked up a pair of wire cutters for the same price. Great quality and guaranteed for life!!

I just got a pack at a craft store (AC Mores) with a set of 5 Pliers 1 wire cutter for $10 bucks.  They seem to be well made for craft type use.

So very true...  :-*

I think the cutters belonged to my grand-father, making them older then me...  :)

And they actually work?  :o  lol

Only joking, I've got some tools of similar vintage passed down from my dad, which are still in perfect working order. Newer tools often just don't match the old stuff for quality and durability >:(

Likewise. Yours wouldn't happen to have red grips would they?

I got my great grandfather's tile cutters and some other tools of his he used long, long before my dad came to be. Built to last they are.
