Military surplus Submarine for the aspiring Mega Villian
« on: January 07, 2019, 05:21:25 PM »
In the middle of last year I designed, with the assistance of the good people of Blotz, an MDF submarine to use in Pulp & Superhero games.

I have finally got round to finishing it over the festive break.

That turned out really nice. Can't wait to see what havoc it causes.

I'd seen the mdf unpainted a while ago.
In all honesty it's not something I need. However I do appreciate the effort and dedication thats gone into it. With that in mind . I'd like to mention the following.
As this is a modular item that can be purchased in individual sections . It's not selling its self very well. As every review/ profile (including your own) is only representing a vessel using all the modules . With phrases like- really big , monstrous, and almost a table in its self. Being used to describe it . Your going to put a lot of people off.
If you just add a couple of pictures of smaller subs made from less module's (both here and on Blotz) then you'll appeal to a bigger audience.
As people are often inspired to buy from a visual of built options.  Rather than trying to visualising an option built then deciding to buy .
Most games are on 3x3 and 4x4. So its an awful lot of effort for a posh hill. A smaller version is potentially moveable and diverse in terms of positioning on boards of this size.
In short its a nice product but its selling its self short.
( the thread title could do to mention the subject matter otherwise it stands a good chance of being missed. Which would be a shame.)
Mark.

All wise words TSG

I shall mention your thoughts to Blotz when I speak to them next.

Thanks

That's a beast, almost a table in its own right, albeit a narrow one. The idea of having smaller options isn't a bad one.
