War Droid

One of GZG's "Land Mates" I expected something akin of Appleseed, instead i got something that looks like a reject from 40K...Wasnt impressed with my order at all, though the Deunan and Briareos model is very nice.

I nearly made the mistake of buying a GZG not-landmate after seeing Appleseed, but someone on Frothers pointed me in the direction of Victory Force miniatures. Tried to get you a link but the site seems to be down for the moment and it's still on my shopping list.  :-[
Waiter, my soup is giggling.

Oh yes, the CLAWS from VF are superb. I´ve got two, and the only nitpick is the scrawny gun; I gave one an M60 as a pistol-sized weapon(!) while the other sports a tank-busting rifle.

Superb model, but rather complicated assembly. I strongly recommend pinning at least the legs, and it won´t do harm with the arms, either.

TheMightyFlip, thank you very much for posting this. I had considered buying some of those, but now I´m starting to suspect why there are no pictures of the figs available.

No problem, though for £5 its not bad for a future wars robot and at least its multi part so you could use it for spare parts, meh. (Oh and dont buy any of the anime range, I'll post pictures of the horror that is A-Ko and Motoko...urgh.

Ewwwww. I wonder how the otherwise excellent GZG could go so wrong with these. A range bought in from another manufacturer, perhaps?

Damn. I knew of the Landmate horror as I have two of 'em myself; but I'd never thought that the Anime range would be SO horrible. Yikes!

However! A way to salvage those Landmates from GZG would be to pop some sort of raygun addition to their gun; and hey-presto; you've got yourself a very pulpy soldier robot! :D
