We just played our first game of our new campaign. As the title states we are playing The Lost World of Lemuria.
Before I start posting up the AAR of the game I thought I would get this thread started with some shots of the flora and fauna that I have put together for the game.

The best thing about a campaign is how it increases my output. The bad thing is that I do not always spend the time that I should in finishing off my figures to a high standard. That said last week I painted up some 34 figures (including robots & skimmers) 4 small perilous areas, a large pool of water, and 1 Zargon.
Thank goodness for some time off from work!

The first game went remarkably quickly only three of the players could attend, and they did not field their full leagues out of concern over a special scenario rule. On the plus side we still used almost all of the beasties that I had painted up.

The AAR will follow a little later, up first is an explorers photo album of their holiday in Lemuria.

Not very big, those are GW flight stands that they are mounted on. The figures are roughly human size (with 7cm wing span) They are from Antediluvian Miniatures.

Great looking monsters!
We currently play the same campaign and it is great fun. I totally agree that a campaign increases the output of painted miniatures and terrain! I need those deadlines to keep focus, otherwise I find myself meandering from one topic to another...

Keep posting your news, please!

A great looking collection of varmints. It's a real shame Antedeluvian's tentacled monster is no longer available, though. Lucky you for having one!

Looking forward to future reports!

Finally finished off the first battle report/comic of the new campaign. Only three of the possible four leagues were available for this game. The three leagues met to do combat in the arena (a secondhand play mobile coliseum) The players decided to play cooperatively, so their only enemies were the arena beasts, and of course the Zargon. Also, as per the scenario rules, two of the leagues elected to leave some of their character off the board, so the leagues all had only a few characters to operate with. (the third league only has 3 characters)

It was a lot of fun prepping up the extra bits, the pond, the perilous areas and the arena beasts. The downside of it all was that the game barely lasted three turns before the Zargon was defeated. As a result many of the beast barely made it onto the table, let alone into combat!

Fun was had by all, and it was a great chance for the players to test out their leagues.

As usual more pictures and the rest of the AAR on my blog.
