Yet the ARVN 18th Division, which had a particularly poor reputation (probably the worst of any ARVN formation) for most of the American part of the Vietnam War staged a truly epic defence of Xuan Loc in 1975. It was a defensive effort hardly rivalled by anyone on the Free World side throughout the war and against considerably greater forces. The blokes that did that must have been brave lads.

mixed sentiments..relations on the other side and an element
of corruption they often fought like Tigers..tremendous looking
units..steeped in mystery!
