One more Rand study of a small engagement which has a useful order of battle for the Marines and NVA.
The Q & A around page 50 also has some fascinating stuff- an interview with the Company commander who for example notes the vulnerability of the machine gunners and how they would action their fire to avoid giving away their positions.

I have started reading it.

The USMC TOE has a smaller headcount than others I have seen (including on this forum). Is this due to casualties?

I assume the "officers" mentioned include NCOs.
