Curious coincidence. The Hue scenes in Kubrick’s Full Metal Jacket were actually shot in the East End.
The palm trees were imported from Spain, set in concrete blocks and moved around for whichever shot they were needed in, after shooting they were given to a nearby garden centre which managed to rescue a couple of them.
The "paddy fields" were in East Anglia.
To be honest, I find it mildly irritating to see just a partial image. Can you ‘reveal’ the whole thing?
