This is The American forces defending The American Embassy during an attack by the Vietcong and Sappers from the C-10 Regiment. Question for the Kentish man.

If you live in Orpington and were to visit the gym on a regular basis, would that make you a Buff Orpington?

Looking forward to the sappers. Any bugger who decides to build the US embassy is a mad bugger, although you could get double use for 1975.

The Chancellery building itself would have a massive footprint and would be a tricky but not impossible build given that has that open concrete lattice facade. The compound walls would be a bugger if you aim for accuracy as they had a very distinctive, diamond shaped, pattern on the cast concrete panels. That Osprey illustration is incorrect in a number of details btw. If anyone is planning on making one you would be better going from contemporary photos.

At least one creative has had a crack it it using Lego.

Of course it might be easier to model it as it is now. Only the concrete planters remain, the rest of it got torn down back in the '90s.

on 3rd March 2020..Heroic MP pulling wounded MP mate to safety..part of the all encompassing take on this momentous event in the Vietnam War in 1968..
