Great looking model!

A few of it was made, it was too heavy. (Designing a grenade launcher must be a nightmare, it is like solving multiple paradoxes at one. One-shot is not enough firepower, multiple shot is too heavy, on the gun is why you need to bring a gun too, separately is why you have extra luggage.  lol ).

Funnily enough, the Dust Tactics folk thought it was ace. lol There's a heap of them for their marines. I bought the heavy weapons set years ago on sale for the mortar and HMG and still have some of these that came with the crew.

As for its weight,it's substantially lighter than the Milkor/ M32 that the marines adopted this century.

.................just a note..for collectors in the USA they are
deemed as VERY desirable...and hard to find.Mainly due to
te paucity of original numbers produced. :o :-* 8) :-* :o

Hmmm beehive charge. :) Interesting. Star of the show, in the SAS's most famous ambush of the war albeit used in a very interesting, upside down fashion. Shouldn't there be a third leg to that charge? Might be wrong but that was typical for these things.

You could probably use that bloke as a RAN clearance diver without too much work. Nicely done!

Scroll down to page 16.

https://tunnelrats.com.au/pdfs/newsletters/Holdfast-28.pdf

Basically four upside down beehive charges and a pressure plate to ambush a VC tractor and trailer that was carrying supplies. A much bigger bang than the SAS were expecting and around 20 enemy KIA plus the trailer, supplies and 75mm RCL that was cargo on the trailer.

More in David Horner's SAS Phantoms of the Jungle if you are interested.

Good to know yours has all its legs.  :)
