Mortian Heavy Tank Completed
« on: January 29, 2019, 07:08:09 AM »
Hello All,

I received this kit second hand.  It was beat up with several broken parts and some missing pieces.  Still the original owner had cut all the resin pieces and magnetized all the turret weapon options, so if your out there I thank you for the head start.

I wanted this tank to be a central model in my Cadian defense force and I am very pleased with the results.  I also love green tanks.

Please enjoy the photos.

All the turret weapon options

Thank you

:o :o I have 2 of those to build, plus the tank hunter version. Looks great and that's exactly the scheme I'm going to use. What green did you use? Castellan Green?

And if you want to pick up some more in the future, he's got a store now:

Hello Predatorpt,

Here is the painting order for the main body.

1.  Black Primer
2.  GW Castellan green.  I did the base coat by hand but I have ordered some GW Airbrush colors to speed up the process.
3.  Airbrush highlight/Second Layer of light Camo Green Vallejo Airbrush Color
4.  Green wash GW Athonian Camoshade
5.  Light drybrush with GW Loren Forest, edges
6.  Pin wash and panel lines using GW Agrax Earthshade
7. Details, tracks, guns, lenses, etc

Yeah that was it.

I was worried it came out too light for a Cadian vehicle but I like it.

Thank you for the link.  I just saw today he has plans to reopen his store.  I am debating if I need a squadron of tanks or one will fill my gaming needs.  Rough life I know...

Thanks for the tutorial! I'll have to try that in my tanks since I've got all the colours you mention.

I also  bought the GW Air, let's see how that works  :)
