Tau feline auxiliaries (Albedo)

I got some Tau recently and some heads from Sally4th, as I like the Tau hardware but I'm less fond on the heads or the whole background story. I'm going for a hard, military SF look. Think Stargrunt II meets Maschinen Krieger.




I dug up my platoon of old Grenadier Future Warriors for the occasion. Perfect as both enemies or allies.

I was always tempted to make a nearly full Tau army just of auxiliaries. I think you have done a good job that is perfect in the spirit of the Tau faction.

That's a nice conversion job you have done there.

I've used some of our heads for conversions with GW Imperial Guard Miniatures, but I much prefer what you have done!





The Tau do look a lot more advanced than the poor old Imperial Guard!

Cool! I guess the IG aren't high tech enough, or maybe the models are too chunky for the heads, compared to the Tau. I may try with  the genesteale cultists.

Your initial Tau feline conversions would make very credible Aslan soldiers for Traveller.
