17th Century Polish - What's available?
« on: February 03, 2019, 10:14:50 AM »
Had a look at the excellent MAA books on the Polish Armies 1569 - 1696 and was wondering hwat figures are available.
I found Warlord Games. Wargames Foundry and TAG all have some nice figures, pretty much covering all the forces. Anything I missed?
Thank you.
There seems to be something wrong with our bloody ships today...turn two points to port.

The Assault Group has very good quality winged husars, Pancerni, cossack style light cavalry, cossacks, Western reiter cavalry, Western style infantry and haiduks. They also have Muscovites and Ottomans to fight with.

Essex Miniatures have a range, although they are getting a little long in the tooth now...

The Pancerni by Redoubt are really lovely, that said the service currently is pretty awful. I have several units of Poles on my blog for use with the Great Northern War including Warlord, Foundry, TAG and Redoubt if you fancy a look. Foundry also do some lovely cossacks you can add to the collection. Mounted and dismounted.

I use Pendraken 10 mm, and am well pleased with them.
The laws of probability do not apply to my dice in wargames or to my finesses in bridge.

Not forgetting the By Fire and Sword range if you're interested in 15mm? Assumed 28s, but on the off chance, that range has lots of lovely figures (The Transylvanians in particular paint up very well)

In 15mm there are also ranges from Minifigs, Essex, Donnington, and Khurasan
Gary, Glynis, and Alasdair (there are three of us, but we are too mean to have more than one login)

Oh, also Legio Heroica's 15mm 1683 range, which look flipping amazing.
