Good find. I so want one of those North Korean Mushroom hats  lol
Mushroom hats you say? That's a new one to me. Or are you talking about those hug caps their officers like to wear?
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Thanks Paul.

I, and I hope the rest of us, appreciate the general complexity of your business, and the additional random nature of the world we now find ourselves in. However, it is good to remind us occasionally ^__^.

It will , however, not stop us behaving like kids before Christmas ^__^.

Or if you prefer

Em dezembro de '81
Botou os ingleses na roda
3 a 0 no Liverpool
Ficou marcado na história
E no Rio não tem outro igual
Só o Flamengo é campeão mundial
E agora seu povo
Pede o mundo de novo

Speaking of N. Koreans, I would LOVE to see what Empress could come up with for a modern N. Korean line.

A bit odd that they are so rarely gamed with.  Maybe too scary in real life.

being the old forget war, that has actually ended yet.   :D
I was chatting with them for a bit about starting a Korean war line, but seeing as how I am a currently liveing pay check to pay check, could quite muster the dough to afford the start up.  lol

Actually what I’d love to see would be some 1970s Chinese to fight my PAVN from 1979 onwards. Preferably in those heroic poses so beloved of Chinese propaganda posters.

That and the Vietnamese liberation of Cambodia, which, in part, sparked the Sino-Vietnamese War are truly forgotten wars. The condemnation of the Vietnamese ridding the world of the Pol Pot regime by the US and its allies is one of the more egregious examples of real politik of the late 20th C.

From a wargaming point of view the 1978 invasion of Cambodia is fascinating. The brief blitzkrieg of PAVN armoured columns slicing up the Khmer Rouge with a fascinating mix of Soviet, Chinese and US weapons on both sides is pretty much unique. Then you get the long, drawn out insurgency, AKA ‘Vietnam’s Vietnam’.

The Sino Vietnamese War is also very interesting with the Chinese taking very heavy losses in clumsy attacks on mostly Vietnamese militia and territorial units. I reckon when Rubicon release their 1/56 T-54 it will make the perfect basis for making a Type 62, a scaled down version of the T-59. Should be a pretty good scaling against 1/50 T-54s.

Just need some Chinese infantry.  ;)

Yep, those are all good conflicts. And you can use the Cambodians to fight out the Mayaguez incident....Any one know where I can get some 1/48 CH-53's?

Revell/ Monogram do ‘em in 1/48 but surprisingly hard to find the HH-53 version at the moment. That’s the one that comes with the M38 Jeep and a 105mm howitzer as a bonus.

Almost bought one a few years back and passed, something I now regret. That said it’s a fucking big toy. I have the Airfix 1/72 one somewhere and that’s not a small item, it’s about the size of a 1/48 Huey.

Speaking of impossible dreams, I’d love some Green Berets tricked out for the Song Tay prison raid. Alas, nobody makes a 1/48 HH-3. I reckon it would make for a great demo game.

That make for a great raid mission as well. But yeah 1/48 HH-53 might be a little to big for regular storage and play.
But I think it would be great to a con game.
With one or two crashed and them fighting to releaf and evacuation.

Just released a couple of pilots for the range. These chaps work for helicopters and fixed wing and have separate arms to gain flexibility of pose.
