One thing I can confidently predict that we will all agree on is that Kim Jong-un is definitely larger than the average North Korean.  ;)
No argument from me!  lol

Next South Vietnamese ARVN preview is firing an M16.

His jacket is a locally made one off rain coat that has had extra pockets sown in to take M16 magazine. The pack on his back is also stitched into the jacket.

This figure was taken from a picture of an ARVN Paratrooper attacking the Hue Citadel.

These sculpts should be out soon.

Interesting - in Ash's picture  you can see it is actually an early type of load bearing vest.

You can see that the uniform is Tiger Stripe and the vest in olive green nylon.

Lots of different 'ammo' vests, one-offs, local manufacture & issue items appeared in that War..

There's an interesting thread with lots of pictures here:

Looking at the original photo again, I suspect it’s a custom made load bearing vest over an M65 jacket. Maybe it’s just me but there seems to be a difference in texture between the material around the main torso, with that on the sleeves and bottom hem. It was notably cool in Hue during the 1968 Tet Offensive and the M65 has a hood which tucks up inside the collar. I still have one, somewhere.

Matters not, just gives two painting options for the same figure.

Might I ask though that when sorting these types into packs, they go into a ‘Hue character pack’? The trouble with unique figures is that you don’t really want one in every pack.

Thanks for the pictures. That will help when painting them up later.

Another preview of an ARVN Paratrooper.

This rifleman is carrying ammo belts for the MG.

Coming pretty soon.
