And then some Voting Machines?
That went right over my head!!!!! :) Please clarify ? :D
ARVN M113s were sometimes described as voting machines as they were invariably present during a coup. Ngoh Din Diem was executed in the back of one.
Interesting. I was referring to the M24 but have been unable to find where I read it.
In Vanguard 42 Armour of the Vietnam War (Simon Dunstan) there is this text:
Quote
Each squadron had a troop of M24 Chaffees...
However, the tanks were not employed against the Vietnamese Communists (Viet Cong), although they were used to topple and sustain successive governments in Saigon.
For this reason ... armour personnel were known as "coup troops".

Google suggests Steve Zaloga (Osprey M24 page 36). If I have that book, I cannot currently find it.

Google: arvn m24 voting machine

As Carlos mentioned, any armour will count.

Ficou marcado na história

Yes, Merry Christmas to everyone!  Or Feliz Navidad, or Buon Natale, or Frohliche Weinachten, or Joyeux Noel, or Mele Kalikimaka...

Please forgive me if I've missed anyone...

Very kind of you to say so. We have had a LOT of similar comments from around the world over the last couple of years. Weird times  ;)

Hydroxychloroquine, bleach, horse worming pills and ultra-violet light are one thing but are people injecting miniatures as a way to ward off the plague now? Must check the relevant Whats-App, Facebook, Fox News and dark web sites. :D

Seriously, have some nice toy soldiers to paint up has been a blessed relief, so another voice of thanks from me.

When I bought the MUTT and crew, the MUTT came with an impressive array of weapons, amongst which was a Mk18 grenade launcher. Wasn’t sure whether I would ever use it, as I wasn’t really planning on a brown water navy.

Today I popped into a model shop looking for something that proved not to be on their shelves and instead came away with another 1/48 OH-13 Sioux. The price was right and I wanted a ‘Possum’ for my Australians.

Back home I was searching the web for images of 161 Independent Recce Flight and serendipitously came across this. Now there is another alternative for an armed version, an M60 mounted on the skids but this is pretty fucking cool, so I reckon it might win out.
