f
The figures will come with attached heads mostly although my plan is to have a couple of packs with separate heads. Then head sprues so that maximum flexibility can be achieved. No reason why the more skilled cannot amputate heads and attach new heads on the other fixed head figures. Its pretty easy.

Weapons wise there will also be a big variation and not just the usual AK47 so that earlier vintage and French weapons will make an appearance, especially with militia types.

Also a significant civilian / militia number of figures. Many of these will be designed to work with both this and the FIC range.

Excellent news. If the intention is to provide a mix of weapons might I ask that some thought go into their distribution in packs, ie 4x AKM armed, 4x SKS armed or 4X various French and US rifles. Rather like what you did with your exquisite WW2 ranges. That gives both a desirable mix and also allows those of us who want some uniformity in equipment to purchase without having to buy multiples.

Any plans beyond PAVN, NLF, civvies and USMC? ARVN for instance. Hopefully one day you might contemplate Australians, admiitedly nowhere near Hue, save for a couple of members of AATV.

Well shoot, between this and the new Pulp Minis ranges, I suspect my group will be doing some 28mm VietNam gaming in the near future.  My wallet apparently was unable to get a service deferment...

Excellent jdp.

The first 16 figures of this range are being sculpted and the range planned for further releases. Had an amazing amount of interest at last weekends Hammerhead show, which surprised me somewhat, but all good for the future of the range. YEHAW!!!!

Cheers, Paul

That's really encouraging that you've had such a positive response as it might mean you do more!

This is a personal 'want' period of mine so the odds on we will do quite a lot  ;)

As I have said elsewhere Empress was originally set up to do Vietnam and then like good wargamers we got distracted. Eleven years on we are now here.

There are a number of references in old LAF threads of me stating that my personal miniatures range would be a Paul Hicks sculpted Vietnam range. I'd have to have won the lottery though, so this way is much better  lol

Hopefully some figures with the golf bag (spare barrel for the M-60). Apart from the barrel it carried the tools and the asbestos mitt required to change the barrel.
