I reckon Noddy and Big Ears for the crew.  ;)
They would go well with the Crooked Dice Fruit Loops.

That's a nice little truck.

But I'll be after Landrovers for my ANZACs before anything else ;)

Very nice but surely it’s crying out for an “active” crew - gunner on the m60, hunched driver and a bloke firing an m16 or similar?

Ooh, I had not thought of that. I assume they are soft tops?

Not sure its really the kinda vehicle that you would do an SAS raid in. As a fighting platform its akin to a bumper car. The M60 seems more of a movable static defence MG.

Now the Ford Mutt is far more useful in the way you describes. ;)

Ford Mutt.

This will be crewed and come in a number of packs and crews and weapons.

Shown is the 50 cal but we can also have the 30 cal and M60.

We can also add the Grenade Launcher although I have no evidence that was ever used in this way.

The 106mm Recoilless Rifle is a good one.

Military police when we get to those.

Nice! :-*

106RCL version requires a bit of change to the rear compartment but I suspect Rich already knows that. Looking forward to the various crews, especially the MPs. Hopefully the ARVN will get crews as well.

Might be a bit outside of your remit but decals for the MP helmets and their ARVN counterparts (QC) would be nice. Arse pains to paint by hand ( I know I recently tried it) Thinking further ahead, when you do the ARVN, decals for their distinctive helmet designs would also be appreciated.

Not a bad idea. I know that it will be hell to paint a ARVN ranger star and Panther. Or a Cap Dai eye of God on a helmet.  lol

But they might be fighting their way out of ambushes.

Who would be using it?

Decals are worth thinking about, but I have no idea on the costs.

We have the 106 with ground base as you will see soon but yes need to change the back of the Mutt to accommodate.

Yes to transfers. We now need a huge amount for our stuff. Just never found anyone who does good ones. I need to spend some time looking.  ;)

Another vote for decals/transfers. Got the M48 sprayed up but I'm struggling to get the transfers for it. I know somebody mentioned Rubicon and there are others but I'd prefer to have decals designed to fit the model. Still a great range and can't wait to see the crew the Mutt etc.

Back when this thread started I convinced myself I am not doing Vietnam. Then I thought well maybe a small project. A small jungle patrol perhaps. Now I have a full strength Platoon+ for both USMC and NVA and enough jungle to fill a 6x4' table. Then you start to bring out armour and vehicles!
It makes it really hard to contain this conflict to just a small jungle skrirmish.
