Many thanks guys. :-*

Another preview of one of our ARVN paratroops.

This time the Lieutenant. Wearing a US M65 field jacket. Carrying an M1911A1 .45 Calibre pistol. He also has an M1A1 folding stock carbine. No helmet cover.

Another nice one...!!!  But in the "picking nits" department, the .45 seems just a tad small for that ARVN LT... ::)

Looking good. Looking forward to seeing the rifle armed troops.

Would that be the M65 field jacket he's wearing?
If so, is that OG or did they come in camo?

Yeah, it's an M65.  AFAIK, the issue ones were OG.  OG107 to be exact.  But as with just about any military uniform, exact shading varied...and the BDU (woodland camo) version wasn't issued until '81 or '82.

There may have been local copies, or civilian versions, though...

Great, that's pretty much what I was guessing re the dates. thanks for that.

I'm already painting this guy in my head and he's not even molded yet..!

Just spotted that Paul already said it's an M65, I really should spend more time reading and not just looking at the pictures...

Time for some releases methinks.

USMC corpsmen and casualties. An important part of any unit and hopefully relevant in the rules you use, if not they should be 😉
These chaps are based, as usual on pictures taken during the conflict. Most iconic of all is the famous one of the Marine being cared for on the back of an M48 Patton tank.

We also have an 81mm Marine mortar team based upon a picture of them in action in Hue 1968.
As usual brilliant work by Paul Hicks.

Now in the shop!!!

More good stuff!  I'll definitely have a medic with my platoon.  Can't live without 'em.  Sometimes literally...

May have to get a mortar team or 2, as well.  The Army used the 81mm too.  And my "little" brother was 81mm mortar man in the Marines in the 80s, so he'll appreciate that...
