Next South Vietnamese ARVN preview is firing an M16.

His jacket is a locally made one off rain coat that has had extra pockets sown in to take M16 magazine. The pack on his back is also stitched into the jacket.

This figure was taken from a picture of an ARVN Paratrooper attacking the Hue Citadel.

These sculpts should be out soon.

I find it a real challenge to paint many of your awesome sculpts since they have a lot of special equipment and uniform specials. It would be great if you could provide all this information on the Empress website. Possible?

Good grief, I look away from this thread and suddenly there are three unread pages!

I need another army for a war I am not interested in (https://ultravanillasmurf.blogspot.com/search?q=vietnam&max-results=20&by-date=true) like I need a hole in the head (member of Trepannees Anonymous...).

The ARVN figure look so good (and tempting).

The colour photographs are very useful.

Thanks for the compliment. Difficult to add too much information without complicating the descriptions on the site and it getting more complicated. This is one of the few of our ranges that I have kinda kept up with painting the figures and vehicles and so could put painted versions up to show stuff but that may not be enough. What kinda of things have you had problems with so I can get an idea of what you are looking for?

Same here. You just gotta love the ARVN.

I have a love for units / armies that are not considered the best. Makes wargames far more challenging and interesting.

I really appreciate that you have made the effort of adding a variety to the figures and not just standard issue. That is also a reason while I find it interesting to read ”the story” about the uniform and equipment of each miniature that you provide in this forum.  Beside special uniform items like the ARVN you are about to release, it is mostly all the pouches, bags, straps etc. I struggle to identify. Not being well educated on the development of the Vietnam war from an uniform/equipment perspective can make it a bit hard. If you can provide pictures of painted miniatures front/back, that would be a great help. Thanks

This may be of help, there are eight pages; I've linked the first and last (the last covers a fair amount of personal equipment).

To prepare for ordering the ARVN, when avalable, Does anyone have a ORBAT of an ARVN airborne Platoon / company ?
