BTW, if anyone cares, the M42 stayed in service into the 80s with the Army National Guard...fielded in some Guard units in lieu of the M163 Vulcan vehicle.

One of the last units was actually in the Ohio national guard only a couple of miles from where I live. If you go to the Motts military museum south of Columbus, you can see one of their Dusters painted in 1980s MERDC.
