Given that they could carry around 70,000 pounds of ordnance and tended to fly in 3 ship formations for Arc Light missions, I suspect the point is moot. It’s a whole lotta table.
About 16 were lost in combat so they’re not impervious to flak et cetera.
Been contemplating one for a while. Used to know a chap who was a navigator on a 2 Sqdn Canberra. Terrific chap. I remember he still had a pair of Yank jungle boots that some Vietnamese cobbler had put a zip in, in the style of the old flying boots.
